Getting to the Game
Georgia World Congress Center Access Map - 85K PDF
Fans attending the 2001 SEC Football Championship Game at the Georgia Dome should take note of the following:
- Because of the massive construction project on the north side of the Georgia Dome, fans are advised that Gates A and B on the west side of the Dome will offer the quickest access to the facility. Those riding MARTA should use the Vine City Station, which offers quickest access to Gates A and B.
- Fans arriving from the downtown area via International Blvd. or from the Georgia World Congress Center (Dr Pepper SEC FanFare) should avoid Gate C, which is the busiest gate. Also, the usual access from the upper plaza to the lower plaza at the Gate C area is no longer available. Fans wishing to access the lower plaza may use the ramp at Gate D.
- Due to increased security, fans should allow extra time to enter the Dome. Backpacks, duffel bags and other large items (in addition to the usual prohibited items) will not be permitted in the Dome. All patrons entering the Dome are subject to a search of bags and other belongings.
- There is no public parking in the area immediately adjacent to the Dome. All Dome lots are for credentialed vehicles only. Fans are strongly encouraged to use the MARTA trains for the quickest access to and from the Dome (see page X for MARTA information). The Vine City Station Offers quickest access to the Dome.
