Anna Ree Darby joined Tennessee Athletics in June 2025 and currently serves as a graduate assistant for athletic academic services. In this role, she provides targeted academic support to the men's and women's track & field and women's rowing programs, helping student-athletes reach their full academic potential. Additionally, she helps manage the Tennessee Tailored LinkedIn account and assists with student employment and engagement initiatives within the Tennessee Tailored Program.

Prior to her appointment as a graduate assistant, Darby gained hands-on experience as an intern under Meghan Anderson, director of certifications and operations. During her internship, she focused on connecting with student-athletes and developing individualized academic plans designed to foster long-term personal and professional growth.

Originally from Anderson, South Carolina, Darby earned her bachelor's degree from the University of Tennessee, where she majored in sociology with a concentration in criminology and criminal justice, alongside minors in psychology and political science. As an undergraduate, she served as a senate intern in the Tennessee General Assembly through the Tennessee Legislative Internship Program and developed key leadership skills on campus as an intramural sports supervisor.
