Blake Gandy joined Tennessee Athletics in 2017 and currently serves as a learning specialist. In this role, he provides individualized academic support and strategy instruction for student-athletes, while also overseeing the ADVANCE screening process for incoming student-athletes. His work focuses on equipping students with the tools and resources needed to succeed both academically and athletically.
Prior to his current position, Gandy served as an academic mentor in the eVOLve mentor program, a role that led to his appointment as an assistant academic counselor/learning specialist.
Before transitioning into collegiate athletics, he gained professional experience in ticket sales with the Tennessee Titans.
A native of Murfreesboro, Tennessee, Gandy earned his bachelor’s degree in coaching and sports administration from Tennessee Tech University and his master’s degree in sport psychology and motor behavior from the University of Tennessee.
He currently resides in Knoxville, where he enjoys watching baseball and competing in powerlifting.
