Brianne Beard joined Tennessee Athletics in the fall of 2024 and currently serves as the assistant director of academic services. In her role, Beard supports a large portion of the football student-athletes, specifically working with the OL, DB, LEO/EDGE and ST units, while also overseeing the women’s soccer program. She provides comprehensive academic support through academic advising, coordination of academic support and graduation plans, and monitoring continuing eligibility for student-athletes.
Prior to arriving in Knoxville, Beard served as the assistant director of academic services at Baylor University, where she oversaw the offensive side of the football program and the women’s soccer program. Before Baylor, she worked at Idaho State University as the academic advisor for football after supporting student-athletes across multiple sports, including women’s soccer, softball, volleyball, men’s and women’s tennis and women’s golf.
Beard began her career at The Citadel – The Military College of South Carolina, where she primarily worked with the football, baseball and women’s soccer programs.
Originally from Chantilly, Virginia, Beard earned her Bachelor of Science degree in psychology with a minor in business from James Madison University after spending two years at Liberty University. A former Division I student-athlete, she competed in women’s soccer at both institutions before earning her master’s degree in athletic administration from Idaho State University in 2023.
