Â
In addition to her year with Caldwell at MU, Cecil played three seasons at Glenville State from 2019-22, helping Caldwell and the Pioneers win an NCAA Division II National Championship trophy during the 2021-22 campaign. The duo also collected two Mountain East Conference titles and an MEC Tournament crown while compiling a 73-10 record during that period, including a 51-5 mark in league games.

Cecil, who attended Paul Laurence Dunbar High School in Lexington, Ky., was the 11th Region Player of the Year and a Miss Kentucky Basketball candidate as a senior, and she became the all-time leading scorer in Fayette County Public Schools history with 2,232 points. Cecil earned all-city and all-district acclaim three times prior to beginning her college career at EKU in 2018-19 before making the moving to Glenville State.
Â
In 2022, Cecil earned a bachelor's degree in psychology with a minor in health promotions from GSU. She is pursuing a master’s in sport management at Tennessee and is a recipient of the Steve & Kaye Maynard Women’s Basketball Graduate Assistant Scholarship Fund.
