Mikele Vickers

Originally from Nashville, Tenn., Vickers earned her Bachelor of Arts degree in psychology with a minor in leadership studies from the University of Tennessee, Knoxville.

As a member of the Tennessee track & field program, she competed at the Division I level while serving as the first Black woman to hold two terms as Student-Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC) Co-President. She is an Alumni of VoLeaders Academy, established Tennessee Athletics’ first Black Student-Athlete Union (VOICE) and represented student-athletes on several university leadership committees.

While completing her fifth year of athletic eligibility, Vickers earned a Master of Science in Communication and Information with a concentration in strategic and digital communication. Through experiences with Athletes.Org, Vol/SEC Network and collegiate athletics, she developed skills in athlete relations, digital content and event operations. She is also a member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated. Vickers is excited to continue her career in college athletics as a FellowVOL at the University of Tennessee.
