Kentucky Defeats Tennessee, 6-1

Knoxville, Tenn. -- Cory Hahn tossed a complete game and Seth Morris slugged a grand slam as the Kentucky Wildcats defeated the Tennessee Volunteers, 6-1, at Lindsey Nelson Stadium to salvage the final game of the series.
Morris' 10th home run of the season capped a six-run third for the Wildcats who broke a six-game conference losing streak to improve to 13-17 overall and 3-9 in the SEC. Brad Pickrell, who collected three hits, and Caleb Stewart each added RBI singles earlier in the inning as Kentucky took a 6-0 lead.
Hahn (3-4), who retired 14 consecutive hitters at one point, scattered seven hits in his first career game. He allowed just two hits over the first five innings and finished with six strikeouts against one walk.
Tennessee plated its lone run in the sixth as Walter Sevilla doubled home Nick Crowe who reached on a fielders choice. Sevilla and Matt Sternberg each had two hits to lead the Vols who saw their four-game winning come to an end. They fell to 17-18 and 4-8 in the SEC.
Jay Sadlowe (1-4) took the loss as he was tagged for all six runs on five hits in 2 2/3 innings.
Jeffery Terrell and Joey Andrews kept the Cats off the board for the final 6 1/3 innings, despite giving up five hits six walks.
Tennessee's next action will be Friday, Apr. 12, when it plays host to the Florida Gators at 7 p.m.
