UT freshman Anders Storvik has proven to be a versatile tool for the Volunteers. This has not gone unnoticed as the Southeastern Conference has named him the Freshman Swimmer of the Week for his performance against the Florida Gators Jan. 30.
In his freshman campaign, Storvik has swum in several different events and has excelled in all of them. Competing against seasoned upperclassmen at Florida, Storvik had two fourth-place finishes in the 200 freestyle and 200 backstroke and a win in the 400 freestyle relay. Storvik led all UT freshman at Florida, adding 14 points to the Vols' score. He ranks among the SEC top 10 in the 100 backstroke, 200 backstroke, 200 freestyle and 400 freestyle relay and has five wins on the season.
Storvik is from Austin, Texas and attended Westwood High School. He is the son of Chuck and Chris Storvik.
