Walsh Wraps up British Championships

Tennessee sophomore swimmer Ed Walsh wrapped up competition at the British Gas ASA National Championships with a fifth-place finish in the 100-meter freestyle Saturday in Sunderland, England.
Walsh, a London native, moved up two spots from his preliminaries finish to earn fifth behind a time of 51.05 seconds.
After earning honorable mention All-America status in his freshman campaign on The Hill, Walsh returns to Knoxville having wrapped up a successful competition at the British championships. He earned a bronze medal Friday in the 50-meter freestyle.
