7: Points UT held Miami's Riquna Williams to in the second half on just 3-of-12 shooting. Williams scored a game-high 24 points, but took 28 attempts to get there.

The Series
• With the win, the Lady Vols take a 1-0 series record against Miami.
• UT picked up its first win over a top-10 team since they knocked off #3/2 Stanford on Dec. 19, 2010.
• Tennessee is 6-2 in the State Farm Tip Off Classic. UT's last appearance in the Classic was a 74-65 win over Baylor in 2009.
• Tennessee has now taken on all 12 teams in the Atlantic Coast Conference all-time and sports a 84-18 (.824) record. Tennessee has a 55-3 record all-time against teams from the state of Florida.
For Starters
• Tonights starters: redshirt senior Vicki Baugh, senior Glory Johnson, senior Shekinna Stricklen, junior Taber Spani and freshman Ariel Massengale.
• UT employed the same starting lineup against Miami as they did against Pepperdine. They now sport a 2-0 record with those five lining up for the opening tip.

• Five Lady Vols put up double figure scoring efforts against Miami: Taber Spani (20), Meighan Simmons (18), Glory Johnson (16), Shekinna Stricklen (15) and Massengale (11).
• UT has boasted five players in double-digit scoring in each of the first two games.
Magic from Massengale
• Freshman Ariel Massengale recorded her first career double-digit socring effort of her career, dropping 11 points while also dishing out nine assists.
• Massengale's nine assists place her tied-for-second on the freshman single game leader list in only her second game as a Lady Vol.
It's Raining Threes
• The Lady Vols shot 50 percent from behind the arc, converting 11-of-22 attempts.
• UT hit 62.5% of their trey attempts against Pepperdine and shot over 50% from three six times in 2010-11 and most recently completed the feat against Kentucky in the SEC Tournament Championship Game (3/6/11).
• The program records for threes in a game sits at 16, also versus Kentucky in the SEC Championship game.
Board Play
• Tennessee topped Miami despite trailing off the boards (39-44) for the first time in 2011-12.
• UT outrebounded the opposition in the two exhibition contests 52.0 rpg to 26.5 rpg. The Lady Vols opened the regular season pulling in 54 boards to Pepperdine's 34.
Simmons, Spani Spectacular
• Spani connected on 7-of-14 field goals, including a game-high four three-pointers. She's hit seven through the season's first two games.
• Simmons was UT's second-leading scorer with 18 points on 5-of-11 shooting, including a trio of three-pointers.
We're Going Streaking
Home Wins
• Tennessee has won 38 consecutive contests in Thompson-Boling Arena.
• The Lady Vols last loss at home was against Duke, 62-54, on Feb. 16, 2009.
• The University of Tennessee's Thompson-Boling Arena is still the toughest women's basketball arena in the nation to secure a win. The Lady Vols have fashioned a 343-20 all-time record on "The Summitt" for a 94.49 winning percentage since the doors were opened in 1987.
Stricklen Starts
• Lady Vol senior Shekinna Stricklen has the nation's longest starting streak entering the 2011-12 season.
• Miami's Shenise Johnson has been in the starting five for 101 consecutive games.
