2024-25 Season

Kim Caldwell’s debut season produced notable wins over UConn, Iowa, Florida State and Ohio State en route to an NCAA Sweet 16 finish. The Big Orange posted the fourth-best scoring average in school history (86.6 ppg.), made an NCAA-record 30 three-pointers vs. NC Central and ended the year with an SEC-record 343 three-pointers made over 34 games. Redshirt sophomore Talaysia Cooper (16.6 ppg.) led five UT players averaging double figures on her way to All-SEC Second Team and SEC All-Defensive Team accolades, while Jewel Spear (12.5 ppg.) drained 77 treys to tie for fifth-most ever by a Lady Vol.
2023-24 Season

The Lady Vols finished 20-13 overall and 10-6 in SEC play to tie for fourth in the league. The program reached that victory total for the 47th time in UT history and stayed perfect with its 42nd-straight NCAA Tournament berth before falling in the second round. Fifth-year forward Rickea Jackson overcame being sidelined by injury for eight games to average 20.2 points and 8.2 rebounds, carding the ninth-best season scoring average in Lady Vol history. Prior to becoming the No. 4 pick in the 2024 WNBA Draft, the 6-foot-2 standout earned AP, USBWA and WBCA All-America Honorable Mention, first-team All-SEC by the coaches and USA Today Sports Network, and SEC All-Tournament.
2022-23 Season

UT won 25 games in back-to-back seasons for the first time since 2013-14 and 2014-15, its 13 SEC victories were its most since 2014-15 and it advanced to its first SEC Tournament title game since 2015. The Lady Vols went to back-to-back Sweet 16s for the first time since 2014-15 and 2015-16 and were one of just seven schools to do that in 2021-22 and 2022-23. Rickea Jackson (19.2 ppg., 6.1 rpg.) earned All-SEC First-Team accolades and was an All-America Honorable Mention Selection by AP, USBWA and WBCA. Jordan Horston (15.6 ppg., 7.1 rpg., 3.3 apg.) was named All-SEC First Team and All-America H.M. by AP and WBCA and was chosen ninth overall in the WNBA Draft.
2021-22 Season
Record: 25-9

The Lady Vols, who ultimately were slowed by injuries to four key players, defeated five ranked teams and climbed to No. 4 in the AP Poll after opening at 18-1. It was UT's highest position since 2015-16. Senior Rae Burrell (12.3 ppg.) was the WNBA's No. 9 pick, while juniors Jordan Horston (16.2 ppg., 4.0 apg.) and Tamari Key (10.5 ppg., 8.1 rpg., 3.5 bpg.) were All-SEC First and Second Team, respectively. Key, who broke UT season and career blocks records, also made the SEC All-Defensive Team, while Sara Puckett was on the SEC All-Freshman Team. Horston garnered All-America Honorable Mention acclaim as well from AP and the WBCA.
2020-21 Season

The Lady Vols picked up wins over four ranked teams, including No. 2/3 South Carolina, and had near a near-miss against No. 3/5 UConn en route to a second-straight third-place SEC showing and the school’s 39th-consecutive appearance in the NCAA Tournament. Senior Rennia Davis (17.3 ppg., 8.8 rpg.), the No. 9 pick in the WNBA Draft by Minnesota, and junior Rae Burrell (16.8 ppg.) were All-SEC First and Second Team choices, respectively, and Davis was All-America Honorable Mention. Sophomore Tamari Key made the SEC All-Defensive Team, while Marta Surez was SEC All-Freshman.
2019-20 Season

Tennessee posted a 21-10 overall record and 10-6 SEC mark to tie for third in the conference during the first season of the Kellie Harper era. With only one senior starter (Lou Brown) and two freshmen and a sophomore in the starting five, UT carded its highest league finish since 2014-15. Junior Rennia Davis (18.0 ppg., 8.2 rpg.) earned All-SEC First Team accolades and received AP and USBWA All-America honorable mention, while Jordan Horston was named to the SEC All-Freshman Team.
2018-19 Season

Record: 19-13

The Lady Vols won the Junkanoo Division of the Junkanoo Jam and burst out to a 12-0 start, climbing as high as No. 9 in the AP Poll and No. 8 in the USA Today Sports Coaches Poll. They weren’t able to sustain that momentum, however, finishing 19-13 overall and 7-9 in SEC play. They did, however make their record 38th-straight NCAA Tournament appearance. Sophomore Rennia Davis was named second-team All-SEC and was a WBCA All-America honorable mention selection, while Zaay Green made the SEC All-Freshman Team.
2017-18 Season

The Lady Vols won the Cancun Challenge and were victorious in their first 15 games of the season en route to a 25-8 overall mark and 11-5 record in the SEC. UT posted impressive wins over national powers Texas, Stanford and South Carolina (twice) along the way with All-SEC and WBCA Honorable Mention All-America seniors Jaime Nared and Mercedes Russell leading the attack. UT also had a strong rookie presence, with Rennia Davis and Evina Westbrook earning SEC All-Freshman accolades and Anastasia Hayes being named SEC 6th Woman of the Year.
2016-17 Season

After injury ended the season for guard Te’a Cooper and forced an early end to the careers of guard Andraya Carter and forward Jasmine Jones, the Lady Vols carried on with a roster of nine healthy players. Despite a lack of depth, Tennessee managed its 41st consecutive 20-win season, wrapping up at 20-12 with a fifth-place SEC record of 10-6 and advancing to the second round during the school’s record-setting 36th NCAA Tournament. Diamond DeShields and Mercedes Russell were WBCA H.M. All-Americans, with DeShields (1st), Russell (2nd) and Jaime Nared (2nd) earning Coaches All-SEC acclaim.
2015-16 Season

Having lost three seniors to the WNBA Draft after the previous season, the 2015-16 Lady Vols took a while to identify leadership and find the right chemistry. When they finally did, the result was standard-issue Tennessee, meaning a 35th NCAA Tournament berth and the program's third trip to the Elite Eight in the past four seasons. Senior Bashaara Graves was voted AP All-America Honorable Mention, while she and redshirt sophomore Diamond DeShields garnered AP All-SEC Second Team accolades. DeShields and Mercedes Russell also were named to the NCAA Sioux Falls Regional All-Tournament Team.
2014-15 Season

For the third straight season, UT hoisted a piece of SEC hardware, tying for the program's 18th regular season league crown. The Lady Vols also kept their NCAA postseason streak perfect at 34 straight seasons and advanced to the Elite 8. Isabelle Harrison and Cierra Burdick were Associated Press Honorable Mention All-Americans and All-SEC First Team selections, Harrison was a WBCA Honorable Mention choice, and Burdick and Ariel Massengale made the NCAA Spokane Regional All-Tournament Team. Massengale and Jordan Reynolds also were chosen to the SEC All-Tournament Team.
2013-14 Season

Record: 29-6

Postseason: Sweet 16
Coach: Holly Warlick (2nd season)
Another season, another net cut down, as Tennessee claimed an SEC Tournament title for the fourth time in five years and 17th time overall. UT also made a record 33rd NCAA appearance and advanced to the Sweet 16 for the 32nd time.
Meighan Simmons was AP All-America honorable mention, NCAA Louisville All-Regional, AP SEC Player of the Year and All-SEC First Team by AP and the coaches. Isabelle Harrison was AP All-American honorable mention, AP and coaches All-SEC First Team and SEC Tournament MVP. Andraya Carter made the SEC All-Freshman Team, while Cierra Burdick was SEC All-Tournament.
2012-13 Season

Record: 27-8
SEC Finish: 14-2/1st

Five starters departed and Pat Summitt turned the reins over to long-time assistant Holly Warlick. Despite preseason predictions for a rebuilding season, UT responded by winning its 17th SEC regular season title and advancing to its 26th NCAA Elite Eight.
Warlick was chosen Spalding Maggie Dixon National Rookie Coach of the Year and SEC Coach of the Year. Meighan Simmons was named an AP third-team All-American and SEC Co-Player of the Year, while Bashaara Graves was Full Court's National Freshman of the Year, a Full Court first-team freshman All-American and SEC Freshman of the Year. Both players were first-team All-SEC selections.
2011-12 Season

Record: 27-9
SEC Finish: 12-4/2nd
Postseason: Elite 8
Coach: Pat Summitt (38th season)
Tennessee won its third consecutive SEC Tournament title but advancing to an NCAA Final Four was thwarted by a loss to eventual 2012 NCAA Champion Baylor in the Elite Eight at the Des Moines Regional.
Senior Glory Johnson earned both Capital One Academic and WBCA All-America honors while rookie Ariel Massengale was named to the USBWA All-Freshman Team. Four Lady Vols were taken in the WNBA draft with a record three in the first round - Shekinna Stricklen (#2 overall by Seattle), Johnson (#4 by Tulsa) and Kelley Cain (#7 by New York) while Vicki Baugh was the 25th overall pick to Tulsa.
2010-11 Season

Record: 34-3
SEC Finish: 16-0/1st
Postseason: Elite 8
Coach: Pat Summitt (37th season)
The Lady Vols topped Kentucky to claim the SEC Tournament crown but their NCAA Championship hopes were halted with a loss in the Elite Eight at the NCAA Dayton Regional.
Shekinna Stricklen earned All-America laurels and Angie Bjorklund was selected with the 17th overall pick in the WNBA Draft by the Chicago Sky.
2009-10 Season

Record: 32-3
SEC Finish: 15-1/1st
Postseason: Sweet 16
Coach: Pat Summitt (36th season)
The Lady Vols put together an impressive season in the Southeastern Conference, winning the SEC regular season title and taking the conference tournament crown but Tennessee's season ended early as the Big Orange fell in the Sweet Sixteen at the NCAA Memphis Regional.
Angie Bjorlund and Shekinna Stricklen garnered All-America honors from the Associated Press; three Lady Vols earned All-SEC recognition.
2008-09 Season

Record: 22-11
SEC Finish: 9-5/t-4th
Postseason: NCAA 1st Round
Coach: Pat Summitt (35th season)
The Lady Vols struggled to find consistency on the floor, dropping eight of the last 15 contests on the season. Tennessee was eliminated in the first round of NCAA tournament play in the NCAA Bowling Green Regional.
Despite the season's disappointing end, Shekinna Stricklen was honored as the U.S. Basketball Writers Association (USBWA) Freshman of the Year.
2007-08 Season

Record: 36-2
SEC Finish: 13-1/2nd
Postseason: NCAA National Champions
Coach: Pat Summitt (34th season)
The Lady Vols tallied their eighth national title on April 8, 2008, topping Stanford 64-48 in the NCAA Championship game. Tennessee also won the SEC Tournament title en route to the national championship.
Candace Parker nabbed her third-consecutive State Farm All-America distinction to cap the championship season.
2006-07 Season

Postseason: NCAA National Champions
Coach: Pat Summitt (33rd season)
Tennessee played solid basketball, capturing the SEC regular season crown. On April 3, 2007 the Lady Vols captured their seventh national title with a 59-46 win over Rutgers.
