THE UCLA GAME

This marks the 19th meeting between the two schools dating back to the 1978-79 season. Tennessee is 8-0 when facing UCLA in Los Angeles and Pauley Pavilion on the UCLA campus. The is UT's fi rst visit to the Wooden Center.
The last time UT traveled to Los Angeles, the #1-ranked Lady Vols committed a season high 23 miscues en route to an 82-70 victory over UCLA led by Candace Parker's 17 points and fi ve boards. Rookie Vicki Baugh tied her (then) career high of 11 points.

Lady Vol coach Pat Summitt refers to former UCLA women's basketball head coach Billie Moore as her mentor. Moore was (then) Pat Head's 1976 Olympic coach.
UT's last three games have come against ranked opponents -- Texas, DePaul and Rutgers. Even though UCLA is not currently ranked, the Bruins started out the season ranked in the polls.
