THE DePAUL GAME
- Tennessee's appearance in Madison Square Garden, "the world's most famous basketball arena," marks the fourth time for the Lady Vols. UT has a 3-0 record at MSG.
- Tennessee and DePaul have met on a neutral court just one time previously. In 2004, the Lady Vols and Blue Demons were paired in an NCAA Second Round game in Tallahassee, Fla. UT prevailed with a 79-59 victory.

- Sophomore Meighan Simmons is listed a probable starter for the first time in 2011-12 afer starting point guard Ariel Massengale suffered a dislocated finger in practice Dec. 8. Massengale is expected to be out for two to three weeks.
- Head coach Pat Summitt joined an elite group of sports superstars when it was announced Dec. 5 that she, and Duke's Mike Krzyzewski, were the 2011 SPORTS ILLUSTRATED Sportswoman and Sportsman of the Year.
