 Today's starters: senior Glory Johnson, senior Alicia Manning, senior Shekinna Stricklen, sophomore Meighan Simmons and freshman Ariel Massengale.

We Back Pat
 This game kicked off "We Back Pat" Week, a week-long initiative focused on bringing awareness and recognition to the Pat Summitt Foundation Fund of The Community Foundation of Middle Tennessee and its fight against Alzheimer's disease.
 During the week of Jan. 15-22, SEC member institutions will support the Pat Summitt Foundation Fund during its home basketball games.

 Tennessee came up with 46 of its 87 points in the paint, accounting for 53 percent of the Lady Vols' scoring on the night.
 Vanderbilt scored 28 paint points in the contest.

Lady Vol Staples: Defense
 Vanderbilt came into the game leading the NCAA in three-point field goal percentage, hitting 44.1 percent of its shots from behind the arc on the year.
 The Lady Vols held the Commodores to 31.3 percent shooting from three in today's contest.

...And Rebounding
 Tennessee won the board game against Vanderbilt, pulling down 39 boards compared to VU's 30 rebounds.
 UT came up with 21 second-chance points while the Commodores scored only 11 points off second chance opportunities.

Tennessee Tidbits Ariel's Assists
 With 12 assists against Vanderbilt, Ariel Massengale set the freshman assist record, topping the previous mark set by Meighan Simmons (11 assists vs. Alabama 1/6/11).
 Her 12 assists were also tied for the fifth-most in UT history. Associate head coach Holly Warlick had 12 assists against Clemson in 1980.
 Twelve helpers is her career-best mark, topping two nine-assist perfomances earlier this season.

 With 16 points and 13 rebounds against Vanderbilt, Glory Johnson put up her eighth double-double of the season and sixth in the last seven Lady Vol games.
 She was tabbed AutoZone Player of the Game for her performance in the win.

 Four Lady Vols scored in double figures against VU: Stricklen (20), Baugh (16), Johnson (16) and Simmons (10).

All Aboard
 All 10 available Lady Vols saw action for Tennessee for the fifth-consecutive game.

TBA - The Place to Play Hot at Home
 Tennessee has been hot at home in 2011-12, averaging 83.3 points per contest and allowing only 56.4 in games played at Thompson-Boling Arena.
 TBA is still the toughest women's basketball arena in the nation to secure a win. The Lady Vols have fashioned a 346-21 all-time record on their home court.
 Additionally, the win marked Pat Summitt's 500th win at home.

 Sixteen more wins will put Summitt at her next victory milestone: 1,100 wins.

 The Lady Vols will next play host to LSU on Thursday. The Jan. 19 contest will be aired by CSS and will tip at 7 p.m.
