THE SERIES
With the win, Tennessee captures its ninth-straight exhibition victory over Carson-Newman. The Lady Vols played Carson-Newman a year to the day, Nov. 1, 2011, winning 105-40.
The Lady Vols 104 points is the eighth time in nine exhibition meetings that UT has reached the century mark.
The Vols lead the exhibition series 9-0.
UT is now 49-11 in all-time exhibition games, including a 38-4 record at home.
UT is 1-0 in exhibition games in the Holly Warlick era.
Today's attendance is 10,647.
FOR STARTERS
Tonight's starters: senior Taber Spani, sophomore Cierra Burdick, sophomore Isabelle Harrison, junior Meighan Simmons and freshman Andraya Carter. Sophomore point guard Ariel Massengale and sophomore guard Jasmine Phillips sat out the exhibition game due to injuries. Massengale for Achilles tendinitus and Phillips with a left quad strain.
Junior guard Meighan Simmons scored the first basket this season for the Lady Vols.
Freshmen Bashaara Graves and Jasmine Jones were the first substitutions in for Tennessee.
All nine Lady Vols saw playing time in the first half.
Pat Summitt
As expected, Lady Vol head coach emeritus Pat Head Summitt was in attendance. She was sitting directly behind the Tennessee bench in the first row of the stands. Summitt attends nearly every practice.
NEWCOMERS MAKE NOISE
Freshman Jasmine Jones was the first UT player to reach double-digits in the contest, when she notched 11 points in the first half. She finished with 16 points. Freshman Bashaara Graves had a game-high 15 rebounds for the Lady Vols, while putting up 17 points. She was the only Lady Vol to notch a double-double in the contest.
Junior Meighan Simmons blocked a game-high three shots while freshman Nia Moore blocked a two shots in the 104-44 victory.

BOARD GAME
Every active Lady Vol snagged a rebound in tonight's contest, as UT totaled 55 rebounds. The Big Orange tallied 18 offensive and 37 defensive rebounds, as Bashaara Graves grabbed a game-high 15 boards.ON THE RUN
The Lady Vols started off the game on a 10-0 run before the Lady Eagles made their first basket five minutes into the game. After Carson-Newman got on the board with two, UT responded with a 9-0 run.
Carson-Newman scored three at the beginning of the second half, with UT responding with an 8-0 run before the next Lady Eagles' basket.
The Lady Vols would again come back with another 8-0 rally after the Lady Eagles' next points of the half.
RACKING `EM UP
Even though it won't count towards her career statistics, sophomore Isabelle Harrison totaled an unofficial career-high 19 points. Her previous high was 13 points against Chattanooga last year.HOW ABOUT THOSE HELPERS
The Lady Vols dished out 21 assists in the game, with Cierra Burdick leading the squad with six.AT THE HALF
Freshman Jasmine Jones led the Lady Vols in scoring at the half with 11 points, she was a perfect 4-4 from the field and 3-3 from the free throw line. Junior Meighan Simmons and freshman Bashaara Graves led the squad at the halftime mark with five boards apiece, more than one-third of the team's 28 grabs at the half.
Sophomore Cierra Burdick dished out four assists in the first 20 minutes of play, while senior Kamiko Williams and freshman Andraya Carter snagged three steals apiece.
Sophomore Isabelle Harrison and freshman Nia Moore each blocked a shot in the first half. Eight of the nine active Lady Vols scored in the first half, with all seeing playing time in the first 20 minutes.
At the half, UT was up 47-15. In last season's exhibition game against Carson-Newman, the Lady Vols were up 48-15 at the halfway mark.
