Numbers of Interest
1: For the first time this season, Tennessee trailed at the break and came back to pull out the win. Coming into today, UT was 0-6 when trailing at the half this season.
2: The win over Kansas pulls head coach Pat Summitt closer to her next win plateau. Two more wins will put her at the 1,100-win milestone.

• Tennessee is 25-5 all time in the NCAA Tournament's Regional Semifinal, advancing to its 25th Elite Eight.

At the Half
• The Lady Vols trailed Kansas at halftime, 35-30. Tennessee has trailed at the half of seven contests this season. The Lady Vols led at intermission of 25 games and have been tied in the other three contests.
• Tennessee is now 1-6 when it leads going into the locker room. Today's contest marks the first game in which Tennessee went to the locker room trailing the opponent and came back to win the game.
• UT trailed at the half and ultimately fell at Stanford (Dec. 20, 7 pts.), at Kentucky (Jan. 12, 4 pts. ), at Notre Dame (Jan. 23, 10 pts.), versus South Carolina (Feb. 2, 1 pt.), at Vanderbilt (Feb. 9, 8 pts.) and versus Arkansas (Feb. 23, 5 pts.).
• Coming out of the break, Tennessee altered its starting five. Ariel Massengale and Meighan Simmons replaced Bass and Manning in the second half's starting lineup.
Baskets from the Bench
• Simmons led UT In scoring for the second time in the Tournament, putting up 22 points for Tennessee in the win. She put up a then-NCAA personal-best 20 points against Tennessee-Martin in the first round (March 17). Today's 22-point showing is the best mark in NCAA Tournament games for the sophomore.
• The Tennessee bench came up big for the third time in the NCAA Tournament, accounting for 41 Big Orange points. In comparison, the Kansas bench contributed 11 points in the contest.
• The Lady Vol bench put up 38 points in the First Round win over Tennessee-Martin and added 19 points in the Second Round victory over DePaul.
Double Trouble from Senior Duo
• Glory Johnson put up 18 points in the win on a 6-of-11 shooting performance. She added seven boards after pulling down 21 rebounds against DePaul in the Tournament's Second Round (3/19).
• Stricklen accounted for 16 Lady Vol points and nine rebounds in the win. She played 33 minutes, leaving the floor with leg cramps in the second half.
Williams with a Spark
• Junior Kamiko Williams recorded four points, dished three helpers and came up with a rebound and a steal in six minutes off the bench.
Own the Glass
• Tennessee won the rebounding game versus Kansas, pulling down 41 rebounds to the Jayhawks' 32 boards.
• The Lady Vols came up with 16 offensive boards that they converted into 23 second chance points in the win.
