(On the defense's play )
"We didn't take defense very seriously, we gave them easy baskets. We missed easy layups. We missed easy shots, and that affects our defense. They had a great game plan to dribble-drive us, and we didn't have an answer.
(On being physical)
"We didn't put the body on people. We didn't rotate and help. We lost our position. We had to scramble quite a bit. We weren't very smart, and we weren't very good."
(On the second-half comeback )
"Those gals were getting it done, getting back. We did get some stops when we needed to. But we couldn't make a layup. We would get stops and then we would put them at the free throw line."
(On the last play )
"The last play was to go to Bashaara (Graves) and Jasmine to get to the basket. She elected to take the shot. Jasmine had a great game coming off not being able to play. She should have driven to the basket, but instead she took the shot."
(On Nia Moore struggling)
"Nia has been solid for us. It blew her mind that she missed a wide open layup at the beginning of the game. She didn't have one of her better games. We have relied on her and relied on her success. We talk about defensive rebounding. If you are shooting 35 percent, you have to rebound."
(On moving forward)
"We have to go back and make rebounding and defense a priority. Hopefully we have Izzy back. We have to commit to defense. Texas has great penetrators, like this team (Chattanooga), but more athletic."
