POSTGAME NOTES
THE SERIES
- This marked the 28th meeting between the two schools. UT holds a 26-2 record in the series, including 13-1 in Fayetteville.
- The Lady Vols are now on a 10-game winning streak.
- UT's win is its 11th straight vs. SEC teams.
- Tennessee is the fourth loss for Arkansas in the SEC.
- Tennessee's win lifts the program's all-time record to 1,261-281 in its 70th season.
- With the win, the Lady Vols have won 11 straight in Fayetteville, dating back to Dec. 29, 1996.
- UT is 3-2 this season when trailing at the half, losing to Chattannooga and Texas but defeating Rutgers, Mizzou and now Arkansas.
10-GAME WIN STREAK
- A win over Arkansas gave UT its 10th consecutive win this season.
- The Lady Vols last won 10 games in a row from Nov. 8 through Dec. 17, 2013.
FOR STARTERS
- Today's starters: Bashaara Graves, Cierra Burdick, Isabelle Harrison, Andraya Carter, Jordan Reynolds.
- Graves and Reynolds are the only two that have started every game this season.
- This is the fifth straight game that the Lady Vols have used this line-up. They are now 6-0 with the group.
- UT controlled the jump ball for the 11th time this season.
- The first points were scored by Jordan Reynolds in an up and under lay-up.
OFF BENCH
- The first Lady Vol off the bench was Ariel Massengale, in for Isabelle Harrison.
- Nia Moore, Alexa Middleton and Jaime Nared were the next Lady Vols off the bench in the first half.
- Kortney Dunbar also checked in for UT. p>
SENIORS LEAD
- Seniors Isabelle Harrison, Cierra Burdick and Ariel Massengale led the team offensively and defensively, especially in the second half.
- Harrison was the first Lady Vol to hit double digit points.
- She earned her fourth double-double of the season and 28th of her career with a season-high 13 points and 13 rebounds.
- Cierra Burdick produced a team and season-high 17 points and added six rebounds. She was 10-for-11 from the free throw line.
- Ariel Massengale added 16 points, including four treys. It was the third time this season Massengale has made four or more shots from beyond the arc. She had four vs. Stanford.
DEFENSE WINS THE GAME
- The Lady Vols tied their season high of nine blocks. Andraya Carter and Cierra Burdick had three apiece.
- UT forced 10 turnovers and scored nine points off of those compared to Arkansas scoring four from UT's 11 turnovers.
- Isabelle Harrison had 10 defensive rebounds.
- The Lady Vols only allowed Arkansas to shoot 31.7 percent for the game and 32.3 percent in the second half.
OFFENSIVELY SPEAKING
- For the first time since leading 9-8 the first half, the Lady Vols took the lead with six minutes left in the second half. UT went on a 7-0 run to take a 45-40 advantage over the Razorbacks.
- The Lady Vols shot just 21 percent in the first half and improved to 52.4 percent in the second half.
- Ariel Massengale spearheaded the second half offense with 16 points, including four shots from beyond the arc. It was the third time this season with four or more. She had four vs. Stanford and six vs. Winthrop.
- Cierra Burdick earned 14 of her 17 points in the second half. Her 17 points marked a new season high. She grabbed six rebounds.
- Jordan Reynolds contributed eight points and was 3-for-4 from the field. She racked up a personal SEC-high six rebounds and an assist. p>
AT THE HALF
- The Lady Vols trailed the Razorbacks by three, 21-18.
- This is the fifth time this season UT trailed at the half. Trailed Mizzou by 4 on Jan. 2.
- The 18 points by Tennessee is fewest in first half since scoring 18 at Alabama on Feb. 2, 2014.
- UT tied its eighth lowest first half point total with 18 points.
- UT overcame an eight-point first half deficit to UA last season in Knoxville and 11 point gap in Fayetteville in 2013.
- Tennessee shot 21 percent (6-28) and Arkansas shot 31 percent (10-32).
- Arkansas out-rebounded the Lady Vols 24-20.
- Isabelle Harrison led all players with nine points.
UP NEXT
- The Lady Vols will continue their three-game road trip on Thursday, Jan. 15 at Auburn at 8 p.m. ET on Fox Sports Net. They will finish with No. 4/4 Notre Dame on Monday, Jan. 19. Tennessee returns to Thompson-Boling Arena on Jan. 22 to host LSU.
