POSTGAME NOTES
THE SERIES
- This marked the 61st meeting between the schools and was a rematch of the 2014 SEC Tournament championship game, which UT won.
- UT now holds an all-time 51-10 record vs. the Wildcats.
- With the win, Tennessee halted a two-game losing streak in Lexington and won for the first time since Feb. 7, 2011.
- Tennessee is now 20-7 vs. UK in Lexington.
- UT broke a perfect home record for the Wildcats, who are now 10-1 in Memorial Coliseum.
- UT has won 15 straight games vs. SEC opponents.
- Tennessee improves to 4-3 when trailing at halftime and 1-3 when behind with 5:00 remaining or less.
VOLS SLAY THE DRAGON
- This was Tennessee's first win over a top-10 team on the road since beating #9/10 Duke, 67-64, in Durham, N.C., on Jan 28, 2008.
- The Lady Vols had gone 0-14 in road games vs. top-10 teams since that triumph at Cameron Indoor Stadium.
- It had been 250 games since UT last defeated a top-10 team on the road.
- That's a span of 2,558 days since that victory over Duke.
- Tennessee improves to 6-2 vs. ranked teams and 4-2 vs. top-10 teams this season.
- The Lady Vols are 3-0 at home and 1-2 on the road this season vs. top-10 teams.
- UT now is 4-0 at home and 2-2 on the road vs. ranked schools in 2014-15.
UT-UK CONNECTIONS
- UT assistant coach Kyra Elzy is from LaGrange, Ky. After playing at Tennessee, she was an assistant at UK for four seasons working under Matthew Mitchell. She is now in her third season with Tennessee.
- Kentucky head coach Matthew Mitchell was a graduate assistant at Tennessee in 1999-2000 and first came to Knoxville to work Pat Summitt's basketball camps during the summer as a HS coach in Mississippi.
- Elzy was a player at Tennessee when Mitchell was a graduate assistant.

- #10/10 Kentucky marked the eighth ranked opponent for UT.

- Ariel Massengale was the first off the bench for the 16th time this season.
- Nia was the next Lady Vol in for Isabelle Harrison.
- Freshmen Jaime Nared and Alexa Middleton were the next UT players to enter off the bench.
1,000 POINTS FOR IZZY
- Entering the game, Isabelle Harrison was just three points short of becoming the 39th Lady Vol to reach the 1,000 career points milestone and accomplished the feat vs. the Wildcats.
- Harrison earned a game total of 19 points to bring her career total to 1,016. It was her 11th time scoring 10-plus.
- She also earned her fifth double-double adding 10 rebounds. She recorded UT's first double-double since the game vs. Arkansas.
- Harrison added two blocks and a steal.
- Both Ariel Massengale and Bashaara Graves are within reach of the milestone this season. Massengale has a career total of 983 while Graves has 984.
OFFENSIVELY SPEAKING
- Cierra Burdick was the first Lady Vol to score in double digits. She tallied 16 total points and had 10-plus for the 10th time this season.
- Ariel Massengale dished out four assists to bring her career total to 475. She is eyeing the 500/1000 club. She needs just 25 more assists and 17 points to be just the third player to do so.
- Bashaara also hit double figures in scoring with 11 points. She was 5-for-5 from the charity stripe.
- Jordan Reynolds and Andraya Carter both produced eight points. Both dished out three assists.
D-D-DEFENSE
- Jaime Nared had a personal SEC-high three steals.
- The Lady Vols forced 19 turnovers and limited UK to 39 percent shooting in the game.
- In the final seconds of the game, Tennessee was credited with two blocked shots, one by Andraya Carter and one by Jordan Reynolds, preventing Kentucky from scoring a winning shot.
AT THE HALF
- The Lady Vols trailed Kentucky 31-25. They trailed at the half for the sixth time this season.
- Tennessee shot 36.7 percent (11-30) and Kentucky shot 37.1 percent (13-35).
- UT had an advantage in the paint, 18-14.
- The Lady Vols were out-rebounded 21-19 and had one more turnover than Kentucky with 13.
- Isabelle Harrison and Jordan Reynolds led UT in scoring with six points apiece.

- UT will return to Thompson-Boling Arena on Sunday, Feb. 1 for a 3 p.m. tipoff vs. #18/18 Mississippi State on the SEC Network.
