POSTGAME NOTES
THE SERIES
- This marked the seventh meeting between the two schools. UT holds a 6-1 record in the series, including 2-0 on Rocky Top.
- The Lady Vols are now on a nine game winning streak.
- UT's win is its 10th straight vs. an SEC team.
- The Lady Vols are 4-1 vs. the Aggies since they joined the SEC.
- Tennessee's win is its 500th win over an SEC opponent.
- The win earned UT its 459th win over a Top 25 team and improved their record to 459-180.
- The Lady Vols handed Texas A&M its first conference loss of the season. A&M is now 14-3 overall and 2-1 in the SEC.
- Tennessee's 81 points were the most allowed by A&M all season and the most since the Lady Vols scorched the Aggies for 86 points in last season's SEC Semifinals.
- It was the 12th time this season in 15 games, in which the Lady Vols held an opponent to less than 60 points.
500 WINS VS. SEC OPPONENTS
- With a win over #9/8 Texas A&M, the Lady Vols now have 500 wins over SEC opponents.
WARLICK WITH 900 UT VICTORIES
- Holly Warlick has now won 900 games with Tennessee as a member of the coaching staff in her 30th season with the Lady Vols.
- The win over A&M also improves Warlick's record over Top 25 teams to 19-12.
FOR STARTERS
- Today's starters: Bashaara Graves, Cierra Burdick, Isabelle Harrison, Andraya Carter, Jordan Reynolds.
- Graves and Reynolds are the only two that have started every game this season.
- This is the fourth straight game that the Lady Vols have used this line-up. They are now 5-0 with the group.
- UT controlled the jump ball for the 10th time this season.
- The first points were scored by Isabelle Harrison with a lay-up. Cierra Burdick made the assist.
OFF THE BENCH
- The first Lady Vols off the bench were Ariel Massengale and Nia Moore for the second consecutive game.
- Alexa Middleton was the third Lady Vol off the bench with 10:34 left in the first half.
- Jaime Nared, Kortney Dunbar and Jannah Tucker also entered the game near the end of the second half.
IZZY MAKES A DIFFERENCE
- Despite only earning five points in her last two games due to extra coverage by defenders, preseason All-American Isabelle Harrison was able to produce a season-high 21 points.
- Harrison was the first Lady Vol to hit double digit points.
- In 15 minutes, Harrison grabbed eight rebounds, an assist, block and steal.
WINNING AT HOME
- The Lady Vols have won 10 straight games in Thompson-Boling Arena, including three against top-10 ranked teams this season.
- Their winning streak in TBA extends into last season to a total of 14 games.
- The Lady Vols welcomed its third crowd of 10,000 or more this season with 10,507 on hand for A&M.
- Along with the men's basketball team, Tennessee hoops teams are 17-0 at home this season.
AGAINST TOP-10 TEAMS
- UT faced its fourth Top-10 ranked team of the season vs. #9/8 Texas A&M.
- The Lady Vols are 3-1 vs. Top-10 foes this season and are 3-0 at home.
- Tennessee defeated #7/7 Stanford and #10/12 Oregon State, back to back.
- Against each top-10 foe at home, the Lady Vols have led going into halftime.
- The Lady Vols have three wins over Top-10 teams for the first time since their last National Championship season, 2007-08, when Tennessee beat eight Top-10 teams in their 36-2 campaign.
OFFENSIVELY SPEAKING
- The Lady Vols scored the most points that Texas A&M has allowed an opponent all season.
- With 81 points, the Lady Vols scored the most points in a game since scoring 111 vs. Saint Francis (Pa.).
- Against the nation's top team in field goal percentage defense (32.3), the Lady Vols shot a season-best 52.4 percent for the game.
- The Aggies have only allowed an average of 54.9 points per game prior to the Lady Vols earning 81 points. At halftime, UT had 47 points.
- The Lady Vols first half shooting percentage of 58.8 was the best they've shot all season in any half.
- UT tallied 24 assists, which is the seventh time this season tallying more than 20. It was the most since the first game of the season when the Lady Vols recorded 27.
- Late in the second half, the Lady Vols went on a 14-0 run, their 19th run of 10-0 or more this season.
- At the free throw line, UT shot 84.6 percent, which is the eighth game in which the Lady Vols have shot at least 80 percent from the line. It is the second game in a row they've done so.
SUCCESS ON OFFENSE
- Isabelle Harrison was the first Lady Vol to score in the double digits. She had not done so since scoring 20 against Oregon State. Harrison earned 21 total points for a season-high.
- Cierra Burdick was the second Lady Vol in double digits. She scored her first 10 points in the first half and finished with 14. Burdick earned her fourth double-double of the season with 11 rebounds.
- Nia Moore had her most points since scoring 25 vs. Tennessee State on Nov. 24, 2014. She earned a game total of nine. She was 4-for-4 in FGs.
- Ariel Massengale tallied 14 points. She has hit at least one three-point shot in 13 out of the 15 games played. It is the first time in her career that she has scored in double digits for five consecutive games.
- Jordan Reynolds has made at least one three point shot in three consecutive games and earned a total of seven points. Reynolds tallied a personal SEC high number of assists with six.
MASSENGALE MOVES UP IN RECORD BOOK... AGAIN
- With three assists vs. A&M, Ariel Massengale moved up in UT's career assists list to surpass Kara Lawson (456). She has moved up to fifth place on the list.
- Massengale now has 458 total assists.
AT THE HALF
- At the half, the Lady Vols dominated the Aggies shooting 58.8 percent (20-34) while A&M shot 43.3 percent (13-30). TAMU leads the nation in field goal percentage defense. UT's shooting percentage at the half was the best they've shot in any half all season.
- Isabelle Harrison led UT scorers with 12 points. Cierra Burdick led all players with six rebounds.
- UT outrebounded the Aggies 20-16 and outscored their bench 13-0.
- The Lady Vols led 47-31. UT's total is more than four different Aggie opponents scored in a game.
