February 12, 2017 | Men's Golf
PEBBLE BEACH, Calif. -- Tennessee men's golf alum Rick Lamb finished at even par to tie for 62nd at the 2017 AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am.
Jordan Spieth won the event at 19-under.
Inclement weather and fog caused delays in the first two rounds. Lamb held a share of the first-round lead at 4-under with play suspended on Thursday. He shot a 2-under 70 on Pebble Beach Golf Links in the second round, which he finished on Saturday morning due to fog of Friday. Lamb carded a 3-over 74 at Monterey Peninsula in the third round and a 3-over 75 at Pebble Beach Golf Links in Sunday's final round.
Lamb's performance at AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am marks the first time this season that he has competed in all four rounds of a PGA Tour event. He has competed in seven events on the year.
Lamb earned his PGA Tour card in August of 2016 by finishing 24th on the Web.com Tour Regular Season money list. He played in 13 events on the Web.com Tour in 2016 with four top-25 finishes, three top 10s, a tie for third in the News Sentinel Open presented by Pilot in August and a victory in the LECOM Health Challenge in July.
Lamb finished his Tennessee career as ranked third on the Vols' all-time scoring average list at 73.03. In 2013, he was named a PING All-American honorable mention and a Cleveland Golf/Srixon All-America Scholar. Lamb was the runner-up at the 2013 NCAA Championship and won three tournaments during his UT career from the 2011-12 season through the 2012-13 season. He transferred to Tennessee after playing his freshman and sophomore years at Santa Clara.
