The Vols posted a 4-over-par 292 in round one to sit tied for second place alongside No. 1 Arkansas, No. 4 Alabama, and Ole Miss. The quartet of schools trail No. 20 Ohio State, as the Buckeyes hold a four-shot advantage atop the 15-team field at even par.
