Lady Vols At SEC Tipoff ’26 On Wednesday

Tennessee women's basketball representatives head to Alabama on Wednesday for SEC Tipoff '26 presented by Academy Sports + Outdoors, where attendees will engage in general media, radio and television interviews, video and photo shoots and other social media and publicity activities at the Grand Bohemian Hotel in the Birmingham suburb of Mountain Brook.
Representing the Lady Vols will be second-year UT head coach Kim Caldwell, senior forwards Janiah Barker and Zee Spearman and redshirt junior guard Talaysia Cooper. In advance of the event, Caldwell's squad has been picked by the media to finish fourth in the SEC standings this season, while Cooper has been selected to the media's preseason All-SEC Second Team.
The UT contingent will begin its rotation around 11:35 a.m. CT (12:35 p.m. ET) and conclude around 1:45 pm. CT (2:45 p.m. ET). Caldwell will be in the main media room from 11:50 a.m. to 12:05 p.m. CT (12:50-1:05 p.m. ET), while the players make their appearance from 12:05-12:15 p.m. CT (1:05-1:15 p.m. ET). Caldwell's time at the podium will be streamed live on SECN+.
Caldwell, Barker and Cooper are scheduled to also appear on the SEC Network set from 1:05-1:20 p.m. CT (2:05-2:20 p.m. ET).
SEC Network will be live from Birmingham with 18 hours of coverage, beginning Tuesday, Oct. 14, and continuing through Wednesday, Oct. 15. Televised coverage begins Tuesday with SEC Now: SEC Tipoff presented by Academy Sports + Outdoors, which runs from 10 a.m.-7 p.m. ET each day, bringing fans all they need to know ahead of the 2025-26 season.
