GLENDALE, Ariz. – University of Tennessee women's basketball signee Oliviyah Edwards was in action on Tuesday night, representing the West team in the McDonald's All-American Girls' Game at Desert Diamond Arena.
The 6-3 forward from Lincoln High School in Tacoma, Washington, is the nation's No. 2-ranked recruit in ESPN's 2026 SportsCenter NEXT 100 and is the highest-ranked prospect for the Lady Vols since No. 2-rated Jordan Horston in 2019. Edwards, known as "Big Oh," became the 46th Lady Vol to play in the McDonald's showcase.
On Tuesday night, Edwards was in the starting lineup for the West, unofficially finishing with eight points, 14 rebounds, two blocks and a steal. Her squad, however, dropped a 91-71 decision to the East.
The evening before, Edwards finished third in the Sprite JamFest Dunk Contest, She featured a soaring one-handed jam and then took a lob, threw down a two-handed slam and hung upside down from the rim in a move resembling Spider-Man that brought down the house. She closed with another one-hander to lock up a top-three outcome. The UT signee also won the "Thirst for the Crown" one-on-one competition.
