BIRMINGHAM, Ala. — The Southeastern Conference announced Thursday afternoon that Grant Campbell and Caroline Lyerly were selected to represent Tennessee on the 2026 SEC Track & Field Community Service Team.
The conference names a Community Service Team for each of its 21 league-sponsored sports, looking to highlight an athlete from each school who gives back to his or her community through superior service efforts.

Campbell has demonstrated a commitment to service and leadership through his involvement in the VOLeaders Academy, the university's annual leadership development program designed to empower student-athletes to create positive social change through sport. A native of Maryville, Tennessee, Campbell furthered that mission during a cultural immersion trip to Brazil in the summer of 2025, where he completed 30 hours of community service. Throughout the experience, he worked alongside several organizations dedicated to youth development, education and empowerment through sport, including Vida Corrida, Meninas em Campo, Mempodera, Fundação Gol de Letra, Empodera and Gol Girls.

Lyerly has dedicated more than 70 hours to community service during her time on Rocky Top, highlighted by her leadership as co-president of Run Your City Knoxville. The nonprofit organization provides a free running program for K–8 students with a mission of making the sport accessible, inclusive and enjoyable for all participants. A native of Greenville, South Carolina, Lyerly has also volunteered with a variety of local organizations, including Fish Hospitality Pantries, the Dolly Parton Children's Hospital, Prisma Health Greenville Memorial Hospital, the EDGE Foundation and Knoxville Area Rescue Ministries, making a meaningful impact in both the Knoxville and Greenville communities.
