Softball hosts Texas A&M this weekend in Super Regionals, several sports compete at NCAAs

TEAM GPAS REFLECT ANOTHER STRONG SPRING ACADEMICALLY -- Tennessee Athletics conducted a thorough review of academic performance for the recently completed Spring 2017 semester, and it revealed yet another outstanding effort by UT student-athletes.
Softball
GREGG AMONG TOP THREE FINALISTS FOR PLAYER OF THE YEAR -- Tennessee's Meghan Gregg is one step closer to being named the USA Softball Collegiate Player of the Year after earning a spot among the top-three finalist for the prestigious award on Wednesday afternoon.
Track & Field
FOUR VOLS QUALIFY FOR NCAA CHAMPIONSHIP ON DAY 1 -- Tennessee track and field punched four tickets to the NCAA Championship and advanced four people to the quarterfinals on day one of the NCAA East Prelims. Seth Whitener grabbed one of those spots as he set a school record on Thursday at the UK Outdoor Track and Field Complex.

RODGERS, LIPCIUS RECEIVE ALL-SEC HONORS -- Tennessee Baseball's Jordan Rodgers has been named a 2017 First Team All-Southeastern Conference third baseman while Andre Lipcius has also been recognized as a Freshman All-SEC first baseman, as announced by the league office on Monday.
Men's Basketball
VOLS TO MEET CYCLONES IN BIG 12/SEC CHALLENGE -- Tennessee will hit the road to take on Iowa State in the 2018 Big 12/SEC Challenge, a matchup announced Thursday by the league offices. The Vols make their first-ever trip to Ames on Jan. 27, 2018.

CHICK-FIL-A KICKOFF GAME SLATED FOR 8 P.M. ON ESPN -- Tennessee's football season opener against Georgia Tech in the 2017 Chick-fil-A Kickoff Game on Sept. 4 will have an 8 p.m. ET kickoff on ESPN, as announced by ESPN and the SEC on Thursday.

VOLS EARN SHARE OF ITA COMMUNITY SERVICE AWARD -- The Intercollegiate Tennis Association announced its national awards Tuesday, and the Tennessee women's tennis team tied with East Carolina for the ITA Community Service Award.

CHRIS WOODRUFF PROMOTED TO HEAD MEN'S TENNIS COACH -- Tennessee Vice Chancellor/Director of Athletics John Currie introduced Chris Woodruff as the Volunteers' head men's tennis coach at the Ray & Lucy Hand Digital Studio on May 19, 2017.

VOLS ADD ARIANA MACIOCE -- Ariana Macioce, a rising junior transfer from Phoenix, Arizona, has signed an institutional aid agreement and plans to enroll at Tennessee this fall, as announced by Head Coach Judi Pavon on Thursday.

HERON CAPTURES 5K TITLE AT OPEN WATER NATIONALS -- Tennessee rising senior David Heron won the 5-kilometer national title Sunday at the USA Swimming Open Water National Championship.
