Carter Young joined the Tennessee Fund in October 2021 and currently serves as Assistant Athletics Director of Development – Major Gifts. He is responsible for identifying and securing philanthropic support for UT Athletics.
Carter comes to Tennessee from the University of Arizona where he served as an Assistant Director of Development from 2018 to 2021. In his time at Arizona, he oversaw development operations and benefits fulfillment.
Carter is originally from Salt Lake City, Utah. He received a B.S. in Business Management from the University of Utah. Additionally, Carter received a Masters of Business Administration and a Masters of Sports Business Management from the University of Central Florida. While at UCF, he worked for Championship Resources as a Graduate Assistant. Carter also served as a Graduate Assistant for The Institute for Diversity and Ethics in Sport.
Carter resides in Knoxville with his wife Megan and their dog Finn.
