#5 Lady Vols Back Pat, Beat LSU, 75-58

KNOXVILLE, Tenn. -- #5 Tennessee stayed perfect in SEC play posting a 75-58 victory over LSU on Thursday night. The win came during `We Back Pat' Week as basketball icon Pat Summitt was in attendance at Thompson-Boling Arena.
The Lady Vols moved to 16-3 overall and 6-0 in the SEC. Tennessee has won 15 consecutive games at home including an 11-0 mark in 2014-15.
LSU, which came to Knoxville fresh off back-to-back wins over #15 Mississippi State and #10 Kentucky, is now 10-9 and 4-3 in the league.
Senior Isabelle Harrison scored a season-high 25 points and grabbed a game-high eight rebounds. She made 9-of-11 from the field. Her career-high of 26 came against LSU last January.
Sophomore Andraya Carter tallied 13 points, making all three of her 3-point attempts.
LSU was led by Danielle Ballard, who scored 15 points and grabbed six rebounds. Raigyne Moncrief also tallied 15 points while corralling five rebounds.
Tennessee posted its fifth wire-to-wire win and second in the SEC. Lady Vols shot a season-high 55.6 from the field and made 6-of-11 from 3-point range.
Up eight at halftime, the Lady Vols quickly grew their lead to 17 points less than four minutes into the second half on back-to-back 3-pointers by Jordan Reynolds and Carter to spur a 10-0 run. That put Tennessee ahead, 45-28.
The Lady Vols expanded their lead to as large as 18 midway through the half and held a double-figure lead for the final 17:08 of the game -- also winning by 18 points.
Both teams came out hot in the first half as the Lady Vols held a 32-24 lead at intermission. Tennessee shot 52 percent from the floor over the first 20 minutes including 3-of-5 from 3-point range. The Lady Tigers connected on six of their first eight shots but closed missing their final four to finished at 43.5 percent in the first half. LSU attempted its only 3-pointer on the final shot of the first half and it came up short.
Harrison led the scoring charts with 11 points in the first half, making 5-of-6 from the field. The Lady Vols had 11 assists on 14 baskets in the half.
During a halftime ceremony $100,000 was presented to the newly-established Pat Summitt Alzheimer's Clinic at the University of Tennessee Medical Center.
