March 19, 2026 | Women's Tennis
KNOXVILLE, Tenn. - The No. 18 University of Tennessee women's tennis team (8-4, 4-3) is set to continue the 2026 dual slate this weekend. The Lady Vols first host the No. 5 Texas A&M Aggies (14-3, 6-1) on Friday before traveling to Austin, Texas, to meet the No. 7 Texas Longhorns (11-3, 6-1) on Sunday afternoon.
Last week, Tennessee dropped a 4-1 decision to then-No. 3 Auburn and then fell, 4-2, to then-No. 23 Florida. Lady Vol freshman Katrina Scott and senior Leyla Britez Risso each delivered 1-0 weekends in singles, with each picking up a ranked win. Scott defeated then-No. 33 D.J. Bennett at Auburn, while Britez Risso downed Florida's then-No. 26 Gabia Paskauskas to maintain her perfect 10-0 record in singles matches to start the dual season.
Tennessee is currently ranked No. 18 nationally by the ITA.
