Sophomore slugger Levi Clark is playing his best baseball as the Vols head down the home stretch of the regular season. Over UT's last 10 games, Clark leads the team with a .379 batting average, a 1.000 slugging percentage, a .500 on-base percentage, five home runs and six walks. He also ranks among the team leaders with 10 runs, 11 hits, three doubles, 11 RBIs and 29 total bases in that stretch.
Clark led the Big Orange offensively last weekend at Kentucky, batting .556 with three runs, a double, two homers and five RBIs for the series. The Marietta, Georgia, native, went 3-for-3 with three runs, two long balls and a career-high five RBIs to lead Tennessee to a 10-9 victory in Sunday's series finale.
Big Orange Power Surge
The Vols have had a major power surge in recent weeks, having blasted 28 home runs over their last 10 games entering Tuesday's contest. Their 87 homers this season rank 11th nationally and have them on pace to reach the 100-homer mark for the fifth consecutive season, which would make them the first SEC program to ever accomplish that feat.
Vols Look to Stay Perfect in Midweeks
The Big Orange have been dominant in midweek games since Elander joined the staff in 2018, having compiled an 89-11 record in such contests during that span. Tennessee is a perfect 12-0 in midweeks this season. In those 12 wins, UT has outscored its opposition 133-31.
Games one and two of the series will be streamed on SEC Network+ while Sunday's series finale is slated to be televised on ESPN2.
