Track Central: Lee University Last Chance

KNOXVILLE, Tenn. – Tennessee track & field has added one more meet to its schedule to round out the 2026 outdoor regular season. Four athletes will head to Cleveland, Tennessee, on Saturday for the Lee University Last Chance Meet, aiming to solidify qualifying marks for the NCAA postseason.
Sprint standouts T'Mars McCallum and Traunard Folson will both compete in the men's 100-meter dash, while McCallum will also line up in the 200-meter. In the vertical jumps, Grant Campbell is entered in the men's high jump, while Mya Strahm will compete in the women's pole vault.

LAST TIME OUT: Tennessee competed in four meets over the course of last weekend and saw school records fall during three days of competition. Igor Olaru (73.05m / 239-8) and Cedricka Williams (60.76m / 199-4) established new program standards in the men's hammer and women's discus at the Jim Green Invitational in Lexington, Kentucky, while Amelia Wills shattered UT's all-time mark in the women's 3,000-meter steeplechase (9:52.51) at the Duke Twilight in Durham, North Carolina. All three performances ranked among the top eight nationally during the 2026 outdoor season.
RANKINGS UPDATE: In the latest installment of the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) national rating index, the Lady Vols rose one spot to No. 14, while the Vols dropped one spot to No. 7. Tennessee is one of 10 schools in the country with both its men's and women's programs ranked in the top 15 nationally.
Additionally, Tennessee owns the No. 1 event squad in the country in both the men's pole vault and men's 400-meter hurdles. UT's top four performers in those events hold average marks of 5.60 meters (18-4.5) and 50.29 seconds, respectively.
UP NEXT: The Vols and Lady Vols turn their attention to the outdoor postseason in two weeks, with Auburn set to host the SEC Outdoor Championships from Thursday through Saturday, May 14-16.
