2026 TRACK & FIELD
Indoor- Competed twice during her debut indoor season with the Lady Vols
- Finished 27th in the 3,000-meter at the Tyson Invitational (2/14) with a time of 9:54.37
- Made her Tennessee debut in the 3k at the Vanderbilt Invitational (1/17) where she placed 30th in 9:53.22
PRIOR TO TENNESSEE
- Spent the first four years of her collegiate career competing for Belmont University in Nashville
- Swept outdoor 5k and 10k titles for the Bruins at the 2024 MVC Championships
- Set her 5,000-meter PR of 16:02.40 at the 2024 Bryan Clay Invitational, finishing third overall
- Clocked her 10,000-meter personal best at the 2024 Raleigh Relays, placing fourth with a time of 33:30.69
- Earned All-Region honors and punched her individual ticket to nationals during the 2023 cross country season
- Finished 86th at the 2023 NCAA Cross Country Championships with a time of 20:34.7
- Set her collegiate best 6k time of 19:05.3 at the 2023 NCAA South Region Championships, finishing 17th to earn All-Region status
- Conference runner-up at the 2023 MVC Cross Country Championships with a time of 20:29.8
- Earned two podium finishes at the 2023 MVC Outdoor Championships, placing first in the 10k (34:41.92) and second in the 5k (16:27.40)
- During her freshman outdoor season, collected two silver medals in the 5k (17:27.25) and 10k (37:48.75) at the 2022 OVC Outdoor Championships

- Full name is Kaitlyn Abigail Vanderkolk
- Daughter of Colleen and Kevin Vanderkolk
- Has four siblings: Connor, Carson, Claire and twin brother Kevin
- Enjoys surfing, water skiing, reading, cooking, and swimming when she is not running
- Mom, Colleen, swam and ran at the University of St. Thomas (Minn)
- Dad, Kevin, was a professional mascot (Bango) for the Milwaukee Bucks in the NBA
- Why Tennessee: "I’m a Tennessee native and fan! Coach Amy was very supportive. I know Tennessee wins the best place to help me to reach both my academic and athletic goals!"
- Kaitlyn's twin brother, Kevin, is her biggest supporter and favorite running partner
- Favorite movie is How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days
- In the future, she plans to attend law school to pursue a jurisdoctorate and career in sports, agency, and business law
